Allan was born and raised on a dairy farm in Leeds County near Brockville. After graduating with a diploma in Agriculture from Kemptville College in 1973 he went to work in Extension Services with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food in North Niagara. In the fall of 1974, Allan accepted a position as Territory Manager of East-Central Ontario with the Master Feeds Company until leaving their employ to partner with his Brother-in-law and Father-in-law in the dairy business in 1978. In 1998 the decision was made to exit the dairy business and raise replacement heifers. At that time Allan took a job in the feed industry again with Lanark Leeds Distributors. He became a licensed Realtor in 2002 to focus on farm transactions. Allan and his wife Cathy have 2 grown daughters and 5 young grandchildren. Allan and Cathy still reside on the home farm in Brockville and work together to assist Agricultural Buyers and Sellers with the challenges of obtaining their real estate objectives.
